25年以上に渡りDJ/プロデューサーとして活動を続けているKaoru Inoueによる自主レーベル ”Seeds And Ground” の復活作品となった、Chari Chari名義としては18年ぶりとなるアルバム “We hear the last decades dreaming”（SAGCD035）からのリミックスEPシリーズ（アナログ盤でのリリース3種）をまとめたものに、さらに未発表曲を加えた新アルバムが早くも登場。
魅惑のリミキサー陣は、国内勢より、海外での活躍が際立つ北（札幌）の至宝＝Kuniyuki、同じく海外のDJギグ現場を自力で切り開いていったヴェテラン・ハウスDJ＝Chida、活動歴長く近年のアンダーグラウンド・シーンで大活躍中のDJ／プロデューサー＝Mamazu (Hole & Holland)、自主制作アルバム「Aspiration」が静かな話題を呼び、昨年Disk Unionからのヴァイナル化を果たした音楽家＝Yoshiharu Takeda、そしてKaoru Inoue本人によるセルフ・リワークも2トラック収録。
またポーランドはワルシャワ拠点で”Earth Trax”名義でのレイヴ・リヴァイバルな音作りが話題を呼び、本名でもドイツのディガー系人気レーベル”Growing Bin”より秀逸なNew Age的アルバム2作をリリースしているBartosz Kruczyńskiと、中国は廈門拠点で彼の地のアンダーグラウンド人気DJであり、既リリースの2枚のアナログEPが瞬殺ソールド・アウトとなった大注目のKnophaら海外勢による珠玉のリワークも収録。アルバム全体としてオリジナル盤に匹敵するトータル性を持つ、エキゾティックでディープな編集盤。
A collection of remixes from Chari Chari’s latest album “We hear the last decades dreaming” (SAGCD035) which was the first album in 18 years under the name of Chari Chari, a project by Kaoru Inoue who has been working as a DJ and producer for over 25 years, will be released on 21 July 2021.
Opening with “Luna de Lobos”, originally over 10 minutes of deep house journey, is remixed by Kuniyuki – one of Japan’s world-famous creator from Sapporo – that is reminiscent of Jon Hassell’s african session leads us beyond 4th world. The deep rework of “Uluwatu Monkey Dance” by Bartosz Kruczyński, Warszawa based producer also known as Earth Trax, sounds like a blues in the rain. A new generation DJ & producer from Chinese underground – Xiamen based Knopha reworked “Esfera de Água” into his distinctive sound like Ambient-Bass-Electro.
Mamazu, who has been leading the unique Slow Techno / Psychedelic / Tribal genre in the domestic scene after a long career, reworked “Fading Away” to the 100bpm Trance. Chida, a true pioneer of the overseas underground scene, converted “Tokyo 4:51” into raw electro grooves.
It also features a rework by Yoshiharu Takeda, whose self-produced album “Aspiration” has been quietly gaining attention, and a DJ-friendly 100bpm jam & classic drum loop adjustment by Kaoru Inoue himself + previously unreleased tracks + field recordings.
